Translation

Tell me again in detail, O Krishna, of your yogic power and glory; for I am not satiated with what I have heard of your life-giving and nectar-like speech.

Philosophical Significance

Core Meaning

Arjuna asks Krishna to speak again about his divine power because the first hearing felt like nectar and left him wanting more. This shows that true spiritual truth can be deeply satisfying, and yet also inexhaustible — the more you listen, the more you discover.

Philosophically, the verse points to devotion plus repeated listening (śravaṇa) as the way to know the Absolute. Knowledge of the divine is not only intellectual; it is lived and tasted. A humble, open heart that seeks fresh hearing moves from information to inner transformation.

Life Application

  • Revisit sacred teachings or spiritual experiences regularly rather than treating them as a one-time event.
  • Cultivate a listening habit: attend talks, read with curiosity, and reflect quietly so the teaching can sink in.
  • Stay humble and ask questions; let wonder, not mere facts, guide your practice.

Reflection Question

What teaching or experience do I want to return to until it truly changes me?
