Translation

Arjuna said, "Having seen this Thy gentle human form, O Krishna, now I am composed and have been restored to my own nature."

Philosophical Significance

Core Meaning

Arjuna says that seeing Krishna in His gentle human form calmed him and brought him back to his normal, steady self. The fierce, vast vision had shaken him, but the familiar compassionate form restored his balance.

Spiritually, this shows that the divine can both overwhelm and comfort. The comforting face of the Lord reconnects us with our true nature and makes us composed again.

Practically, the verse teaches that spiritual insight should lead to inner steadiness, not agitation — allowing one to return to clear action and duty with a calm heart.

Life Application

  • When you feel overwhelmed, pause and recall a calm, compassionate image or phrase that grounds you (a prayer, a teacher, or a memory).
  • After intense experiences, take time to breathe and return to simple, steady tasks to rebuild mental balance.
  • Let the feeling of being supported (by God, nature, or loved ones) guide you into calm, responsible action.

Reflection Question

What brings you back to your natural calm when life feels too big?
