Philosophical Significance

Core Meaning

This verse says that when a person is free from confusion and sees the Divine as the highest Reality (Puruṣhottam), that clear vision changes everything. True knowledge here is not just intellectual; it is a living insight that removes illusion about what is real and what is temporary.

Someone who truly knows the Supreme also knows the deeper truth of life and therefore naturally worships with their whole being — heart, mind, and actions. Real worship is not only rituals; it is wholehearted living in harmony with that inner truth.

Life Application

  • Study and reflect daily to remove simple misunderstandings: read, meditate, and notice what you take for granted as permanent.
  • Turn ordinary actions into devotion by offering work and relationships with sincerity and awareness, not just habit.
  • Let your choices flow from a steady inner view of what truly matters, so right action follows naturally.

Reflection Question

When I am calm and honest with myself, do I recognize and live from a deeper truth beyond daily worries?
