Chapter 9 Verse 11
Rāja Vidyā Yog
अवजानन्ति मां मूढा मानुषीं तनुमाश्रितम्। परं भावमजानन्तो मम भूतमहेश्वरम्।।9.11।।
avajānanti māṁ mūḍhā mānuṣhīṁ tanum āśhritam paraṁ bhāvam ajānanto mama bhūta-maheśhvaram

Translation
Fools disregard Me, clad in human form, not knowing My higher Being as the great Lord of all beings.
Philosophical Significance
Core Meaning
This verse says that some people ignore the divine when it appears in an ordinary human form. Because they only see the outer shape, they fail to recognise the deeper reality behind it.
Philosophically, it points to the difference between appearance and essence. What looks small or ordinary can hide a vast presence; missing that is a failure of vision, not just of knowledge.
Practically, it asks us to be humble about our judgments and open to finding sacredness in everyday people and moments.

- Before judging someone, pause and consider that there may be more to them than first impressions.
