Chapter 11 Verse 19

I see You without beginning, middle, or end, infinite in power, with endless arms, the sun and moon as Your eyes, the burning fire Your mouth, heating the entire universe with Your radiance.

Core Meaning

Arjuna sees the Lord as timeless and infinite—having no beginning, middle, or end—and full of boundless power. This vision shows God as the source and ruler of everything, beyond our ordinary limits.

The images—many arms, the sun and moon as eyes, a burning mouth—speak of two truths: the divine lights and sustains all life, and it also purifies and transforms what must end. The same presence creates, supports, reveals, and removes what is impure.

Philosophically, the verse asks us to recognize that reality is larger than our small concerns. Seeing the divine like this invites humility, trust, and courage: we are part of a vast, living whole that both comforts and calls for right action.
