Translation

Thus, wisdom more secret than secrecy itself has been declared to you by me. Reflect on it fully, then act as you wish.

Philosophical Significance

Core Meaning

Here Krishna says he has given the deepest, most private wisdom. It is meant to be understood inwardly, not just heard. The teaching points to the true nature of life, duty, and freedom.

You are asked to think about it fully and clearly. Only after reflection should you choose your path. That choice is real freedom: you must act from your own understanding and accept responsibility for the result.

This verse stresses inner clarity before action. Wisdom removes confusion, and then you act with intention rather than habit or fear.

Life Application

  • Pause and reflect on a big decision using what you know about your values and purpose before you act.
  • Make choices from clarity, not impulse; take responsibility for the outcomes without blaming others.
  • Let wisdom guide action, but be ready to accept results and learn from them.

Reflection Question

What choice will you make today that truly matches your deepest understanding and values?
