Translation

Hear again My supreme word, most secret of all; for you are dearly beloved of Me, I will tell you what is good.

Philosophical Significance

Core Meaning

Krishna tells Arjuna that because he is dear to Him, He will share the most secret and highest teaching. This shows that deep spiritual truth is given out of love and care, not as a mere lesson.

The verse also implies that such truth is reserved for those who are receptive and sincere. The highest guidance is meant for the welfare of the seeker and arrives when the student is ready to receive it.

Finally, it reminds us that spiritual guidance is personal and timely. The teacher speaks what is truly helpful, not what is clever or popular.

Life Application

  • Make time for quiet listening each day so you can receive inner guidance or wise advice from trusted sources.
  • Seek teachers and friends who care for your true well-being, and test their guidance by whether it promotes peace and growth.
  • Practice humility and openness; when you stop defending your ego, deeper insights can reach you.

Reflection Question

Am I open and humble enough today to hear guidance that truly wants what is best for me?
