Chapter 6 Verse 31
Dhyān Yog
सर्वभूतस्थितं यो मां भजत्येकत्वमास्थितः। सर्वथा वर्तमानोऽपि स योगी मयि वर्तते।।6.31।।
sarva-bhūta-sthitaṁ yo māṁ bhajatyekatvam āsthitaḥ sarvathā vartamāno ’pi sa yogī mayi vartate

Translation
He who, being established in unity, worships Me, who dwells in all beings, that yogi abides in Me, whatever their mode of living may be.
Philosophical Significance
Core Meaning
This verse says that a person who sees the same divine presence in every living being and is established in that unity lives in God. Worship here means recognizing and honoring the one spirit that dwells in all people and things.
A true yogi’s inner connection to the Divine matters more than outward rules or lifestyle. Whether they are a householder or a renunciate, if they remain steady in this awareness, they abide in God.
Spiritually, this shifts the focus from separation and judgment to compassion and steady presence. Seeing unity brings calm, right action, and respect for others as expressions of the same life.
Life Application
- Before reacting, pause and remember the same life dwells in the other person; respond with respect rather than anger.
- Turn simple tasks into a short practice: do the work mindfully and offer the outcome to the greater good.
- Use a brief daily reminder (a phrase or one-minute breath check) to re-establish the feeling of unity during the day.
